A massive Valentine's Day mural on Queen Street West. At 3:00 AM on Valentine's Day, 50 people met at the corner of Queen & John. Each group was assigned a segment of the street and was given a container of pink paint and heart-shaped sponges. We couldn't have imagined how beautiful the resulting 2.1km-long love trail would be!

Valentine's Day is often called a "Hallmark Holiday" because it is seen as an arbitrary calendar date meant to encourage guilt spending. We do not share that cynical view :) Instead, we saw the holiday as an opportunity to spread love literally, with sponges!

So, you know I'm in with some cool quotes and a NEW digital camera, but isn't this supposed to be a wiki page for volunteers?
